Legislative Branch
The legislative power is with the Congress of the Philippines which consist of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate of The Philippines is the upper part of the bicameral legislature of the Congress. Which leaves the House of Representatives to be the lower part of the Congress. The Senate is composed of 24 senators. having its concurrence on every bill in order to be passed for the president's signature to become a law, the House of Representatives has the power to impeach certain officials, and all money bills must originate from the lower house.
Here are important things to know about law making:
The law makers get ideas from many different people like the president, private individuals, interest groups, etc. After getting ideas, the ideas get sent to two houses which are in the Congress. These houses are the House of Representatives and the Senate. The ideas are made into bills in the process. The bills are then filled out with the Secretary General. The bill then gets sent to the Committee to get approval. After getting approved, the bills go through another reading process which then takes the bills to a voting process. It then either gets approved or gets disposed into the archives. If approved, it goes to another reading which distributes the bill in its final form. The bill then gets sent back to the two houses but the bills will be the other house's bill. Once the bill is ratified, it is printed in engrossed form and enroled. It then gets sent to the presidental action and is either approved or vetoed
